Special Resident Retiree’s Visa

The Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV) is a special non-immigrant visa issued by the Bureau of Immigration of the Philippines, under the retirement program of the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA). It is designed to attract foreign nationals and former Filipino citizens to live and retire long-term in the Philippines.

Types of Visa

SRRV Classic

For foreign retirees (pensioners & non-pensioners), who are allowed to use their Requisite Dollar Time Deposit for active investments

SRRV Courtesy

For foreign retirees and former Filipinos under special categories:
  • Retired Diplomats from Foreign Services;
  • Retired Officers from International Organizations that are recognized by the Department of Foreign Affairs (e.g., UN, ADB, WB, IMF, WTO, etc.);
  • Retired Military Personnel who provided military aid and training to the Philippine government via a defense treaty or any other similar agreement;
  • High Achievers in Academic, Business, Arts, Culture, Music, Sports, including philanthropists.

Qualified Applicants

  • Principal retiree applicants must be at least 40 years old.
  • The legitimate spouse of the principal retiree, based on the laws of the country of which the retiree is a citizen;
  • The principal retiree’s unmarried dependent who is under 21 years old, whether legitimate or legally adopted.

NOT Qualified Applicants

  • Applicants who are operators or workers of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) and/or Internet Gaming Licensees (IGL) shall be disqualified from applying for the SRRV, consistent with E.O. 74, s.2024, and other applicable rules and regulations.
  • In cases where such involvement is discovered after the issuance of the SRRV, the visa shall be subject to immediate cancellation.
  • With contagious diseases, with criminal records, and not compliant with PRA requirements

  • Bank Certificate of Visa Deposit
  • Photos (8 pcs. 2x2)
  • Processing Fee
  • PRA Annual Fee

Spouse & Dependent Applicants

  • Accomplished PRA Application Form
  • Medical Clearance
  • Police Clearance (except minors)
  • NBI Clearance (except minors)
  • Bureau of Immigration Clearance Certificate or BICC (18 years old & above)
  • Proof of Relationship to Principal Retiree
  • Photos (8pcs, 2x2)
  • Processing Fee USD
